We believe that wellness can be a positive and fun process for people of all ages and abilities. Lucas Schirmer, our wellness instructor, offers four classes with personalized, one-on-one instruction where the student is an active participant in their wellness transformation. These classes are designed to teach skills that can be used on a daily basis to effect ongoing change in physical and mental comfort.

Self-Stretching
This class is ideal for individuals who suffer from stiff joints and decreased range of motion. Students will learn various stretching techniques designed to assist in full body relaxation and balance.

Somatic Self-Soothing Class
Our largest sense organ, the skin, allows us to soothe through touch. In this class, students will learn this valuable skill of self-soothing. They will learn gliding, kneading, and rolling techniques, as well as various methods to stimulate the vagus nerve. This class is ideal for individuals who need reliable, fast-acting strategies to calm themselves.

Mindfulness Meditation
This class is ideal for individuals who want to learn strategies for calming and relaxation as well as emotional balance. Taught by an initiated yogi of the Kriya tradition with more than a decade of experience, students will learn proper posture and breath control, how to create the ideal setting for a meditation experience, and receive guidance in developing an ongoing practice.

Qi Gong
This moving mediation class is ideal for individuals who want to learn strategies for better balance and motor skill. Taught by a practitioner with more than a decade of experience, students will learn various qi gong routines in order to benefit posture, strength, flexibility and coordination.

Connecting Voices
In these weekly music-centered wellness classes, we use vocal warmups/exercises, strategically chosen songs, and group discussion to exercise the voice and to develop a stronger self-awareness of how to use the voice more effectively. No previous music experience required!
